SS Joe Dolenga (Stevenson, 2024) is a toolsy uncommitted prospect that stands at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Beginning the Illinois State Games by running a 6.8 60 time, he then proceeded to show athletic actions with soft and fluid hands in the infield. Dolenga had one of the strongest arms across the infield, firing his hardest thrown ball across the diamond at 88 mph. An athletic hit setup, he flashed a quick and aggressive swing with easy power to all fields. Producing a peak exit velocity of 99.5 mph with fast, aggressive, and intentful acceleration out of his load, Dolenga also hit his farthest batted ball 338 ft.
Joe Dolenga (Stevenson) did not work out defensively on this day but he deserved noting with his BP and 6.92 60 time alone. Dolenga packs strength in his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame and uses it in the box, delivering intentful, strong swings while staying on the barrel for elevated contact with a peak exit velocity of 95.5 mph and max batted ball of 372’.

Hit: RHH. Balanced stance, toe-tap stride and fluid rhythm. Creates above-average bat speed, quick hands, controlled intent, elevated contact to both gaps.

Run: 6.92 runner in the 60.
5-foot-7, 132 pounds; wiry athletic frame with sloped shoulders. Advanced arm strength for age, delivery works with some effort, thrower type, overall athlete with arm strength. Fastball played at 79-81 mph, mostly straight, four seam type with occasional ride and cut. Complemented the fastball with a 12/6 curveball that he showed advanced feel for; able to spot it in the zone to fool hitters or bury it under the zone.
