UIC commit, Jonathan Fleaka (Lake Zurich) continues to show one of the better right-handed bats in the 2024 class. Fleaka works on top of the baseball, stays direct and flat through the zone with a knack for hard, backspin contact to all fields. Fleaka collected a couple of hits over the the two days including a hard triple.
Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-10, 175-pounds. Compact frame with strength.
Hits: RHH. Upright stance, open base, high hand start, bat tip load, high leg kick trigger. Strong hands and wrists, aggressive at the plate, hard off the barrel. Level path, stays in the zone.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 83 MPH. 329' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-80 mph.Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Plays through the baseball, clean release and secures the baseball in the center of his body.

INF Jonathan Fleaka (Lake Zurich, 2024), a UIC commit, has long had a potent right-handed bat, and showed much of the same at the event. Fleaka stays direct and flat through the zone with the ability to backspin the baseball with authority to all fields. Defensively, he played low to the ground, displaying soft/quick hands that pair with a strong arm. His hands and feet worked in unison, allowing him to show above-average feel for the infield.
