Started on the mound and had a big day at the plate for the Tigers. On the mound, struck out seven in five innings of work. Relaxed, confident composure on the mound. Goes right at hitters with a fastball/curveball combination. Short, over-the-top arm action, occasionally created downhill angle. Fastball, thrown for strikes, works mostly straight, sat 81-84 mph. Went to his curveball often, able to manipulate it depending on the count. Works 12/6 with depth, early in the count, get-me-over type pitch. With two strikes, sharpens spin, tighter, later break, able to get swings and misses, 68-71 mph. At the plate, left-handed hitter, went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
