OF Keenan Oldani (South Elgin, 2024) showed out as one of the more physical athletes in Rantoul last week. Oldani, who stands at 6-foot-3, 197-pounds, recorded the highest exit velocity of the entire event, scoring a 105.5 mph line drive right back up the middle on his second to last swing. He breached the 100 mph park two other times during his round, posting an average exit velocity of 95.5 mph, which was an event best. In game, Oldani screamed a home run directly over the left field fence on Wednesday morning. Defensively, Oldani moved around the outfield well and he flashed above-average arm strength in Tuesday’s workout, peaking at 87 mph on his hardest bullet home. 

6-foot-3, 197-pound frame. Oldani impressed in both games on Sunday all while using a wooden bat. Oldani connected on four extra base hits including a two-run homer. Oldani utilizes his strong upper half and quick hands in order to connect and be dangerous all throughout the zone. Oldani showcases a gap-to-gap approach with plenty of room to grow.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, quiet load and short stride. Direct swing, strong hands, present bat strength, ball jumps off the bat with minimal effort.

Defense: Active footwork, plays with one hand off to the side through the ball, steady actions, attacks the ball.
Run: 7.23 runner in the 60. 

Oldani was a standout from last week’s event, starting his day off strong by cruising to a 6.93 60-time. At the plate, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitter showed some high-level pop off the bat, reaching up to 101 mph for his max exit velocity; he stays flat through the zone with advanced bat-speed, pull-side approach with a middle of the order profile. Defensively, his arm plays with carry across the diamond, reaching up to 80 mph with a third-base profile.

Hit: RHH. Starts in a wide/open setup, knee-knocks into a long stride.  Strong hands with bat-speed, uphill path through the zone with intent to lift the baseball, finishes with back shoulder dropped.
Power: 100.3 max exit velocity, averaged 90 mph. 359’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Short 3/4 slot, strong arm with carry.
Defense: Sure-handed with a clean transfer, showed the ability to move side to side and play on the run, plays through the ball.
Run: 7.26 runner in the 60.
