Transferred to Northwest Florida St.

1.9.16 - Verbally committed to Purdue University.
3rd Team All State: Providence’s gritty second baseman led the Celtics to their second consecutive Class 4A State Championship, impressing with his clutch play down the stretch. Madej delivered the walk-off RBI single in extra-innings to give the Celtics a 6-5 win over Mount Carmel in the title game. The switch-hitting Madej hit .421 this spring with 12 doubles, five triples, two home runs, 32 RBI, and 45 runs scored. He also showed plate discipline walking 25 times, posting a .512 on base percentage. He’s currently uncommitted.

6/8/15 - 5-foot-11, 185-pound switch-hitting middle infielder impressed with the bat and defensively in this contest. All at bats came from the left side, facing the right-handed Holba. Hits from an open setup, short stride, heel up off the ground pre-pitch, short, compact stroke, opposite field approach in this game, hitting the ball where it was pitched. Singled over the shortstops head on a 2-1 fastball in first at bat (flare hit). Triple down the left field line scored first run of the game in the third, also lined out left field in third at bat, so found the barrel twice in three at bats. HBP in final at bat, forcing in the game’s winning run. Made a great diving play running backwards on a ball flared into shallow center field in the second inning. Soft hands at second base, arm is accurate, below average runner (7.47 in the 60). Madej is ranked No. 79 in IL’s 2016 class, and profiles as an offensive second  baseman who’s a tough out at the plate from both sides. Hitting .416 on the year with 12 doubles, 5 triples, and two home runs.

2.15.15 - 5-foot-11, 185-pound strong switching-hitting shortstop impressed from both sides of the plate and took one of the top rounds of batting practice at the Preseason All-State. Hits from a crouched, open setup form both sides (slightly more open from the left side). Short, level bat path from both sides, gap-to-gap approach, strength at impact, feel for the barrel from both sides. More bat speed from the right side, 95 mph exit velocity off the tee, 84 mph exit velocity off the tee from the left side. Legitimate switch-hitter. Defensively, threw 72 mph across the diamond from short, accurate, high 3/4 arm slot, average carry across the diamond. Soft hands fielding the baseball, slow exchange from glove to hand, fields position athletically. Runs a 7.47 60.
7/23/13 - Solid build, 5-foot-11, 165-pound switch hitting middle infielder, shows strength. Offensively showed the ability to hit at a high level from both sides of the plate. Hits from an open stance, smooth load, short stride with toe tap. Advanced hand eye, excellent barrel awareness in game, advanced approach against live pitching. Solid contact with fluid rhythm throughout. Defensively showed playmaking abilities, soft hands, above average range. Fields the baseball athletically with efficient exchange, knack for getting to the baseball. Madej is a high-level prospect to follow in the 2016 class, showed advanced switch hitting abilities rarely seen at his age. Madej recorded two hits while proving to be a tough out for pitchers, working counts well and having a presence in the box.

10-9-2018: 5-foot-11, 185-pound switch-hitting infielder, athletic frame. Two-hole hitter, took all at-bats as left-handed facing right-handed pitching, has a wide, open setup, good balance throughout, leg lift stride, hands load back smoothy. Hands are athletic, natural lift in swing.
