Lean, athletic build. 5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed pitcher. Started against IL Lightning on Friday night. Threw five innings of one-run baseball with five strikeouts and zero walks. Long arm action, high ¾ slot. Tall and fall type of delivery, lands slightly closed in the front toe, throws across his body, deceptive. Fastball touched 75 mph and sat between 72-74 mph with arm side run. Showed command for his fastball and used it to get ahead in counts. Curveball played at 62-63 mph, 11/5 shape, showed feel for pitch, used it as a swing-and-miss offering. Mixed his pitches well, kept hitters off balance, showed an understanding of how to pitch.
5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed pitcher, high-waisted, lanky frame. Over head delivery, quick paced delivery, low hanging balance, in-line to home and toe lands closed, level shouldered, cuts off at finish. Quick hand break, arm plays long, full swing, high ¾ slot, some effort. Fastball, slight run to arm side, 75-76 mph. Curveball, gradual 11/5 shape, 62-64 mph. Changeup, some fade with arm speed, played down, 62-67 mph.
