Notre Dame commit, currently ranked No. 4 in Illinois. Muscular 6-foot 190-pound frame. Highly athletic, quick feet with a strong arm in the infield. Lightning quick hands on the transfer. Made impressive plays in pregame warmups showing off his effortless range with strong throws to first base. Made a great forehand play up the middle in-game robbing a hit by running all the way from the hole in short to behind second base to cut off the ball and turn his body to fire a strong throw to first. Offensively, the right-handed hitter starts in an athletic stance. Uses a leg-kick to maintain rhythm and timing in his swing. Utilizes lower-half throughout the swing, creating a lot of power and loud contact. Drove a three-run home run to left-field. Ball jumps off the bat. Profiles on the infield at the next level, arguably is the best defender in the state. High-level 2021 prospect. 


Strong-bodied infielder and Notre Dame commit who showed average arm strength (90 mph) with fair accuracy from a high slot at shortstop. Playing with four stitches in his foot, the 6-foot, 185-pound DeMarco showed the actions of a middle infielder, but his body type and range profile best to third base at the college level. Had good bat strength with effort to his swing in the batter’s box. Pulls off the ball, but gets good use of his lower half. Top exit velocity during BP was 96.7 mph and farthest ball hit 356’. Short to the ball (0.14 seconds) with 21.9 mph of peak hand speed and a ProCase low 1 degree attack angle per Blast.


Notre Dame commit, currently ranked No. 6 in the Illinois’ 2021 class. 5-foot-11, 180-pound, two-way prospect; strong, athletic build, defined lower half. Started at shortstop and hit in the four-hole. Highly-advanced infielder, smooth confident hands, ultra-quick transfer when needed and ability to throw from any arm slot. Made a number of tough plays, ranging to both sides; maintains body control, strong, accurate arm that carries across the infield. Ability to stick at shortstop moving forward. Offensively, right-handed hitter, finished 0-for-2 with a HBP. Ran a 4.40 down the line on a groundout. Balanced setup, flashed easy bat speed. Came in to close out the game in the seventh inning. Went three-up, three-down, striking out a pair. Arm works long and quick from an over-the-top slot. Fastball jumps through the zone, worked mostly straight, occasional run to the arm side, sat 87-88 mph. Mixed in a swing-and-miss curveball with depth and bite, 74-75 mph. High-upside on the mound and as a position player. Rare two-way potential at the next level.

7.23.18 - 5-foot-11, 180-pound, strong, athletically-built, two-way prospect. All-around impressive day. On of the top offensive rounds of the event. Right-handed hitter, presence in the box, balanced setup, smooth early load, short stride and good balance. Quick twitch in swing, present bat speed, explosive at times, consistent hard contact, balls jumps off the barrel. Short bat path, gap-to-gap approach and fluid rhythm throughout; 89 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, athletic infield actions, fluid feet, soft hands, works through the baseball and clean release. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, accurate arm, throws carry and clocked at 83 mph. 4.76 runner down the line. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, one of the top arms of the event. Clean, repeatable delivery, works with rhythm, on-line and finishes athletically. Fluid, clean, compact arm action; works quick out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball, down in the zone, sinking action, sat 85-86 mph. Slider, 10/4 plane, flashed sharp action, thrown for strikes, 74-76 mph. High-follow two-way prospect in the 2021 class.

2.18.18 - 5-foot-10, 180-pound, strong build, wide-shouldered, two-way prospect. Emerged at the event as a high-follow 2021 two-way talent. At the plate, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, smooth knee-knock load and hits from a sturdy base. Simple swing and hands work well; loose, quick and strong, creates advanced bat speed for age. Path works uphill, consistently finds the barrel, mainly worked gap-to-gap but flashed pull power as well. 85 mph exit velocity. High-ceiling with the bat. Defensively, moves well for size; light on his feet at times. Soft hands, flashes actions, occasionally pats through release. Loose, strong arm from a high ¾, throws were accurate and topped at 83 mph. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, athletic delivery, repeatable and works on-line. Clean, loose arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball, works mostly straight, occasional cut, sat 81-83 mph, touched 84. Curveball, potential plus pitch in the future; thrown aggressively, good feel, 11/5 shape, depth and tight spin, 71-72 mph. Changeup, maintains arm speed, thrown for strikes, mostly straight, sink at times, 72-78 mph.

9.15.17 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound, athletically built, right-handed hitting third baseman. Defensively, moves well on the infield, athletic actions, soft hands and above-average arm across the diamond. Offensively, hit in the three-hole for Elite Baseball Training. Flashed strength in swing. Follow 2021 infielder.
