4.30.18 - Illinois State commit. Currently ranked No. 24 at position in the Illinois’ 2018 class. 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop, athletic build, lower half strength transfers to both side of the ball. Reached base four times for the Crusaders going 1-for-1 with two walks and a HBP, showing a feel for the strike zone. The two-hitter scored once, walked in a run, and drove in two on a line-drive single to the opposite field. Showed a gap-to-gap approach all game with a balanced setup, bar to slight wrap load, short leg lift trigger. Present bat speed through the zone with a level path, can get naturally uphill ahead in the count which shows feel for the situation. Defensively, played through the ball in warmups which then showed in the game. Made all six plays he was involved in seeming to know what to do with the ball before it was put in play. Quick footwork, under control actions, plus hands and transfer, gets shoulders square to the target consistently, fluidity throughout. Short, loose high ¾ slot, true ball with carry.

2.19.17 - 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. Offensively hits from an open setup with a short stride and good balance. Fluid rhythm with a short, uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 84 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.41. Defensively has a short, loose arm action from a high ¾ slot. Plays thru the ball with a clean exchange. Threw 82 mph across the infield.
