4.15.17 - Unsigned Senior. 6-foot-4, 195-pound, tall, lean frame with sloped shoulders, trim waist and has room to add to frame. Two-way player. Started the game on the mound and ended it behind the plate. Right-handed pitcher, throws from a ¾ slot with a short take away, stab action and effort in delivery. Short stride, inconsistent release point. Fastball sat 85-89 mph to start the game and settled in at 87-88 mph. Ended up going five innings. Curveball had tight spin, ¾ tilt, thrown for strikes and 75-77 mph. Changeup was 81 mph. Aggressive, attacks hitters and competes on the mound.
Behind the plate, blocks well, anticipates the ball in the dirt and keeps it close to him. Strong accurate throwing arm to 2B with quick transfer and release.  Does well behind the plate given his tall frame. Offensively, right-handed hitter, even, upright stance with a low hand set at the plate, Contact hitter with a long path at times. 4.60 runner down the line.  


2.26.17 - 6-foot-4, 195-pound, strong, athletically built, two-way prospect. On the mound, right-handed pitcher with present arm strength. Repeats delivery, stays on-line, lands with a closed front toe and regular effort throughout. Clean arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fastball, thrown for strikes, big downhill tilt at times, sat 84-87, topped at 88 mph. Slider, works 10/4, lateral action, maintains arm speed, thrown for strikes out of the wind up, 72-74 mph. Also, threw a splitter, 67-69 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced wide setup, short stride and flashed bat speed. Path works uphill, strength through contact; 90 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, worked out behind the plate, short, accurate, strong arm, clocked at 78 mph from the crouch. Pop times ranged between 2.01-2.14. 4.58 runner, home-to-first.
