4/24/13 Stong build, 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, developed lower half. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot. Delivery lacks separation, one piece rotation after foot strike. Fastball sat at 79-81 mph for most of the game, touched 83 mph early in the game, shows cut action on fastball, was able to get under the hands of right handed hitters. Slider has two-plane action, 71-73 mph, effective to his glove side of the plate. Changeup had slight fade, 74-75 mph. Fordon is a strong bodied left-handed pitcher who shows a naturally cutting fastball complimented by a two-plane slider. No. 35 in Class of 2014.
2/17/13 - Athletic frame, shows strength in lower half, 6-foot-3, 215-pound left handed pitcher. Tall and fall style delivery, shows some rhythm, regular effort, athletic finish. Arm works from a high ¾ arm slot, loose arm action. Fastball displays slight run and sink to arm side, thrown for strikes, 83-84 mph. Curveball showed average action, 74-76 mph. Change up has fading action, some feel, 74-76 mph.
