Delivery: Controls body into a high leg lift, rides back leg down mound, works in line, moves quickly down the mound into foot plant from balance point.
Arm Action: RH. Long out of glove into a high 3/4 slot, loose arm.
FB: T89, 87-88 mph. Plays with run to arm-side with control around zone, worked to both sides of the plate, missed to arm-side at times. T2413, 2251 average rpm.
SL: 78-79 mph. Sharp, tight 10/4 shape, flashed late action to glove side, miss was low and to glove-side, showed ability to land for strikes and use as put-out offering just off the plate. T2435, 2376 average rpm.
CH: 83-84 mph. Near identical fastball arm-speed, fades to arm-side, looked to keep low and under the zone. T1532, 1453 average rpm.

Arizona signee RHP Ryan Anderson (Minooka) will be one of bigger-bodied prospects in attendance, standing in at 6-foot-6, 214-pounds. With his easy and low effort delivery downhill, Anderson can dial his fastball up to 90 mph with 2300+ rpm of spin, with potentially more left in the tank there. His slider is sharp at 2300+ rpm as well, sitting in the mid-70’s leading to missed barrels. Anderson rounds out his repertoire with a low 80’s changeup that shows arm-side diving action to make for a strong third offering. With his repeatable delivery and advanced pitchability, Anderson should make for a fun watch on Wednesday.

Arizona commit. Currently ranked No. 15 in the state. Long/lanky build, 6-foot-6, 215-pounds, still has plenty of room to fill out as he matures. Dominated on the mound to lead Minooka to a  Regional Semi-final win, going all seven innings while only surrendering two hits, no runs, one walk and striking out 11. The tall right-hander has a fluid, easy-moving delivery, working with a smooth tempo into a medium leg-lift before going down the mound with a drop/drive lower-half, staying in-line throughout and repeating consistently. He worked his fastball in the 84-86 mph range with heavy sink at times, topping out at 87 mph early on. He went to his slider repeatedly throughout the outing, throwing it both for strikes and to put hitters away with confidence and conviction, 72-76 mph with late bite and depth. High-level 2024 arm with more left in the tank.

Anderson is a 6-foot-5, 180-pound right-hander with a highly athletic and projectable frame. He operates extremely easy sitting 84-85 mph and topping at 86 mph. His breaking ball looks even more improved from what we saw in the preseason, a tight, late breaking ball he throws it confidently at 72-75, and acts almost like a slider at times.

Another 2024 came to the forefront on Sunday, RHP Ryan Anderson (Minooka) is a 6-foot-5, 180-pound right-hander who looks every bit the part on the mound, showing advanced presence and moxy for his age. It’s a clean arm with low effort resulting in an 82-83 mph fastball that flashed sink action. His curveball plays with 11/5 shape at 70-72 mph and has the makings of an above-average offering with good feel for an arm-side action changeup as well.
