5.28.14 - San Mateo commit. Currently ranked No. 216 in Illinois. Undersized middle infielder, 5-foot-8, 150-pounds, highly athletic, controls body well. Offensively handles the bat extremely well, excellent bat control, short path to the baseball with mid to opposite field approach. Takes tough at bats, pesky hitter, high contact guy, top of the lineup type hitter, grinder. Defensively showed athletic actions, moved well laterally to both sides. Smooth, easy glove work, soft hands and can play on the move, high level actions. Arm plays well with carry, loose athletic action.

5/23/13 - Athletic middle infielder, showed excellent body control, soft hands, quick transfer. Arm plays athletically, short arm action, shows good footwork around the bag, turns the double play well.

The 5-foot-3, 125-pound infielder is small in stature, but possesses all the fundamentals necessary to be a highly productive high school player. In the field, Krainz showed solid actions and fielded the ball out front. Krainz showcased soft hands and an accurate arm across the infield. The left-hand hitting Krainz showed a level swing path and an overall fundamental approach. With continued physical development, Krainz will be a player to watch.
Krainz is a 5-foot-4, 125-pound middle infielder who exhibited excellent fundamental mechanics in all facets of the game. Defensively, Krainz displayed athleticism at the shortstop position by utilizing his soft hands and fluid footwork as he handled every ground ball with natural actions. He exhibited a quick, clean exchange and an accurate arm (74 mph). Offensively, Krainz demonstrated fundamental mechanics in his swing from the left side that resulted in consistent line drives to all fields. He showed good hands and balance throughout, which produced some looseness in his swing.
