Sets up wide on the rubber, deliberate rocker step, heel lift, coiled balance, works slightly across body, toe lands open, some recoil at finish. Long arm action, high ¾ slot, occasionally dropped slot, regular effort. Fastball, mostly straight with occasional run, 74-75 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, gradual break, 64-65 mph. Changeup played straight, 63-69 mph.
2.19.18 - 5-foot-9, 160-pound, athletically-built, two-way player, with a thick lower half. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall style, deliberate to home, level shouldered, open toed landing, some rotational fall to third at finish. Long arm on back side, some quickness out front, ¾ arm slot with some effort involved. Fastball showed run at times, sat 70-72 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, gradual break, ranged 61-64 mph. Changeup had occasional sink, sat 62-64 mph. At the plate, left-handed hitter, open setup, toe tap trigger, back drop load. Uphill bat path and exit velocity topped 73 mph off a tee. Defensively, clean exchange, low 3/4 arm slot, throws topped 69 mph across the diamond. Ran a 8.78 laser-timed 60.
