RHP Trevor Rehnstrom (Glenbard East) threw one of the more complete, polished bullpens we saw on the day, absolutely filling up the strike zone with three above-average offerings, including a changeup that showed plus-feel to the arm side and at the bottom of the zone. Rehnstrom, who stands at a long and athletic, 6-foot-4, 185-pounds, has also seen his velocity climb, topping at 88.2 mph which is up from 86 mph in 2022. It is a true three pitch mix with starter profile written all over it and more velocity to come as he continues to fill out that upside frame. Uncommitted arm to follow closely in the class.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-3, 185-pounds. Lanky build, well proportioned.
Delivery: Fluid, tall and fall delivery, body control and balance down the mound, repeats.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, uninterrupted arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Clean and easy out of the hand, commanded the zone. T2361, 2287 average rpm.
CB: 75-76 mph. Thrown with intent, sharp spin, depth. T2544, 2427 average rpm.
CH: 80-82 mph. Advanced feel, painted at the bottom of the zone consistently, flashed fade. T2081, 1974 average rpm.
RHP Trevor Rehnstrom (Glenbard East, 2024) provided an intriguing look on the mound, particularly should he fill out a 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame. Working from a relatively low-effort operation throughout, Rehnstrom’s fastball played at 82-85 mph with more left in the tank. He mixed in a 72-75 mph breaking ball with depth at 2,300+ RPM and also threw a mid-to-high-70s changeup that averaged 15.5 inches of horizontal movement.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-3, 175-pounds. Broad-shouldered, well-proportioned frame.
Delivery: Slight coil into balance point, high/athletic leg-lift, drop/drive lower-half that works in-line to the plate with a long stride.
Arm Action: RH. Long/loose arm that plays from a high 3/4 slot, quick arm.
FB: T84.6, 82-84 mph. Plays with life and finish through the zone. T2345, 2283 average rpm.
CB: 72-74 mph. Downer shape off an 11/5 plane. T2365, 2303 average rpm.
CH: 75-77 mph. Fades to the arm-side, creates deception with arm-speed. T2158, 2050 average rpm.
Rehnstrom oozes athleticism at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds with a lean and lanky frame and long levers. Currently ranked inside the top 50 prospects in Illinois’ incoming junior class. Easy effort delivery with plenty left in the tank. Long and loose arm action from a high ¾ window. FB sat 82-85 mph early on before settling into the low 80s. Displayed feel for a pair of offspeed pitches, mixing in a breaking ball with a slurve-type shape at 66-71 mph and a changeup at 75-76 with plenty of fade.
RHP Trevor Rehnstrom (Glenbard East, 2024) was yet another right-hander that showed off a big arm with a knack for spinning the ball, running his fastball in the 84-86 mph range while averaging 2,352 RPM. His curveball also showed well above-average spin rates, averaging 2,466 RPM at 70-71 mph with sharp 11/5 shape and depth. His final offering was a straight changeup at 74-78 mph, fading slightly to the arm-side at times.

Body: 6-2, 170-pounds. Long, athletic frame.
Delivery: Smooth, repeatable, tall and fall delivery. Slight drop and drive lower half. Works on line. Lands front toe closed.
Arm Action: RH. Connected arm path. Easy arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.7, 83.7-85.7 mph. Plays straight. T2299, 2198 average rpm.
CB: 73.4-74.3 mph. 11/5 shape. Thrown at fastball arm speed. T2272, 2255 average rpm.
CH: 77.0-77.6 mph. Sinking action. Deceptive arm speed. Plays well off the fastball. T1884, 1814 average rpm.
