INF Tyler Cribbett (Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, 2024) and 1B Lance Weitekamp (Morrisonville, 2024) are two uncommitted left-handed bats to know from this event: Cribbett favored the pull-side throughout his round of BP and elevated the baseball that way, repeating a short, simple, and direct swing as a result. Weitekamp offers more physical projection, standing at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds with lean strength. He backspun baseballs into the right-center gap from a level bat path, offering future intrigue from a power perspective as he continues to further fill out his frame.

Hit: LHH. Wide base, bat tip load, minimal stride. Strong hands, short and simple swing, gets on top of the baseball, on the barrel throughout. 68.1 mph bat speed with 13 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 82.7 mph. 339’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. Short arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Corner infield profile, steady actions, sure hands, clean double play turn.
Run: 7.48 runner in the 60.
Cribbett impressed on Saturday morning going 4-for-4 including a home-run straight into the wind. Strong build, with a simple swing and a fluid bat path. Showed off advanced bat-to-ball skills, taking pitches the other way and finding the barrel a number of times throughout the weekend. Also showed some quality power, shooting a number of balls into the gap for extra base hits.
5-foot-10, 185-pound, strong and sturdy frame. Cribbett was on the barrel at the plate for Game Seven. A left-handed hitter, Cribbett has a quiet setup in the box with little-to-no movement in the stance before getting into his stride. The swing is quick with a slightly uphill path that allows for loud contact. A bat to watch moving forward the rest of the weekend.

Body: 5-7, 155-pounds. Athletic frame.
Hit: LHH. Simple, tall balance setup, smooth hand load, small stride. Easy short swing, gap-to-gap approach.

Defense: Steady defender, maintains body control on the move, clean exchange.
