Truman State commit. 5-foot-11, 215-pound, compact, strong frame. Right-handed hitter, hit out of the three-hole and is an intimidating at-bat. Compact swing that has present physicality and bat speed. Uses the whole field and stays short, on-plane and connected throughout. Took a number of intentful, aggressive swings while showing plate discipline and an overall feel to hit. Finished 1-for-1 with two walks and a run scored. His one single was a line-drive back up the middle of the field. 

Tyler Tieman: 1B/OF, (2022) Althoff Catholic, IL. 5-foot-11, 215-pound sturdy frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. Started in a tall stance with a small load, then used a long stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed was average, displayed rotational swing plane and high finish. Created some loud contact and found a few barrels. Gap to gap approach. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 70 mph; had a natural exchange, firm hands and developing footwork. Used a short arm action with a low ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.76 in the 60-yard dash.

2/19/18 - Tieman is a strong 5-foot-7 185-pound left-handed pitcher and first baseman in Illinois' 2022 class.  He ran a 4.88 home to first and has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, no wasted movement, balanced stance, short stride with quiet hands, simple and repeatable, swing produced gap to gap line drives, body stays under control.  On the infield, 70 mph positional velo at first base, throws left, short over the top arm slot, soft hands with momentum through the catch, fluid actions in transfer and throw. On the mound, Tieman has a high three quarters arm slot, controlled and smooth tempo, no wasted movement in a simple delivery, controlled body with clean arm action. Fastball worked, 68-73 mph, works both sides of the plage, has command, change up at 62-66 mph, arm side run, throws with near fastball arm speed.
