Kurokawa

Kurokawa is a switch-hitter with a simple, fluid stroke and started to heat up with the bat as the weekend went along. He also plays the middle with ease to his game and body control on the move.

Uncommitted. Ranked No. 34 in the state’s class of 2025. Started at shortstop and batted second. Defensively, Kurkokawa showed smooth and fluid actions, moving well to both sides, soft hands with a quick and clean transfer, with a strong and accurate arm. At the plate, a right-handed hitter, simple approach, showed quick hands with above-average bat speed, direct with slightly uphill bat path, barrelled the baseball with line drives. Went 1-for-3 in the Rams semifinal game.

The switch-hitter impressed in BP before the game, showing a loose stroke from both sides of the plate with quick hands and a whole-field approach. Natural left-handed hitter with a right-handed stroke that isn’t far behind. He finished the game with a single and a fielder’s choice, turning in quality at-bats against a premium arm. He impressed on the infield with above-average actions and feel for the position, displaying soft hands while attacking the ball with accurate angles and fluid footwork. High-follow 2025.
