The Sparks finished things off in style behind the right-arm of Will Tenuta (Sandburg HS, IL, 2020). Tenuta struck out two in a perfect inning of work, behind a lively fastball that sat 89-90 mph.. The Purdue commit also showed off much improved feel for a hard-biting curveball, thrown aggressively at 75-77 mph.

Recent Purdue commit. 6-foot-1, 175-pound live-armed right-hander with athleticism ingrained in his game. A classic quick, clean, and loose arm who’s climbing in Illinois’ 2020 class. Fastball, straight, settled into 86-88 mph range in his four-inning start. Curveball, 72-75, 12/6 plane, got sharper throughout his outing, showing real swing-and-miss potential as he gathers more feel.
