9/13/19

The Sparks finished things off in style behind the right-arm of Will Tenuta (Sandburg HS, IL, 2020). Tenuta struck out two in a perfect inning of work, behind a lively fastball that sat 89-90 mph.. The Purdue commit also showed off much improved feel for a hard-biting curveball, thrown aggressively at 75-77 mph.

7/25/19

Recent Purdue commit. 6-foot-1, 175-pound live-armed right-hander with athleticism ingrained in his game. A classic quick, clean, and loose arm who’s climbing in Illinois’ 2020 class. Came out sitting in the upper-80s against Naperville Renegades American, touching a couple of 90s and one 91 mph pitch in the first frame. Fastball, straight, settled into 86-88 mph range in his four-inning start. Curveball, 72-75, 12/6 plane, got sharper throughout his outing, showing real swing-and-miss potential as he gathers more feel.

6/18/19

3/28/19

6-foot-1, 175-pound, athletically-built, live-bodied, right-handed pitcher. Came out of the bullpen for Sandburg. Worked almost exclusively with his fastball in this outing. Fastball, jumps out of the hand, straight action, occasional cut and sat 85-86 mph. Allowed one hit in 1.2 innings pitched and walked two. Highly-athletic arm action works clean, quick and loose from a high slot; plenty of velocity still to come. Follow 2020 right-handed pitcher.

2/10/19 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-handed pitcher, lean projectable frame, slender build, live body. Delivery repeats and works directional, smooth tempo, athletic finish. Arm action is loose and live, extension and clean release out front, high slot. Fastball has natural cut action, occasionally late in the zone, showed control, 83-85 mph. Plus potential curveball, late biting action on 12/6 plane, dropped for strikes, 70-74 mph. Straight changeup, fastball arm speed, 79-82 mph.

6.6.18 - 6-foot-1, 160-pound, right-handed pitcher, lanky, athletic frame. Quick tempo delivery, short side step to toe lift, compact balance point, tilt and topple style, extends in line down the mound, square landing, athletic finish out front, easy effort involved. High front side, loose, short arm swing, repeatable, quick and aggressive arm speed, hides ball well on back side, clean high slot, rhythm involved. Fastball worked straight to glive side, 83-84 mph. Changeup maintained arm speed, worked straight with occasional fade, 72-79 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, flashed tight spin, 67-72 mph.
