7/24/18
A left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stane. Simple hands during leg kick timing trigger. Physical bat from the left side. Level path with some natural loft to it. Rotational type hitter with pull side tendencies. Both strength and speed are apparent to hands. Flashed some pull side pop in BP. Gets off the bag well at first base. Plays through with solid ball skills showing a quick transfer on double play balls. Looks to be comfortable at the position. On the mound the southpaw has an uptempo pace to a delivery that requires some effort. Lands line line at foot strike with finish carrying him to home plate. Long back arm action through a high-¾ slot. Fastball has some tilt, sitting 77-80 mph. Worked both sides of the plate with the heater. Spins a 1/7 shaped breaking ball with big, gradual action at 61-63 mph. Also showed a playable changeup at 69-70 mph. The pitch dives through the zone with some fade to it.

7/17/18
A left-handed hitter that starts in a wider setup. Uses a leg kick for timing with a slight back load to hands. Balanced launch follow by a swing that has some loft to it. Impressive barrel feel with above average natural tools for class. Generates gap pop with pull side tendencies. A first baseman with the frame for the spot with more athleticism than normal over there. Moves well off the bag with fluid actions. Can get around the ball at times. Solid defender. Two-way prospect. On the bump the southpaw has consistent tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. Over the top guy with longer arm action. Drop and drive load down the mound prior to finishing to the third base line. Offers a three-pitch mix lead by his fastball that sat 78-81 mph. Slot creates downhill plane on the offering that was consistently in the zone. Heavier than velo would indicate. Spins a big, 12/6 breaking ball with sharp action at 62-64 mph. Solid feet for the offering that plays as his out pitch. Also flashed a knuckleball 66-67 mph. Still developing in game feel for the offering.

1/30/18

A left-handed hitter that starts in a wider, open setup. Goes with a leg kick for timing while taking hands back to launch. Hands are loose and barrel maintains momentum through load into launch. A strong kid with noticeable whip through the zone. Showed above average pop for class, staying inside the baseball well. Middle of the lineup potential. In the outfield he plays with aggressive footwork to the baseball. Gets to and through the ball quickly. Transfer shows urgency and he threw with accuracy. A lanky left-hander on the mound that looks to have room to add more strength to frame. Ball jumps out of his hands, showing intent to all three offerings. Fastball mostly stays true with slight run at times. Will be anywhere from 77-78 mph with the heater. Expect more velocity to come as he fills out. Spins a 1/7 shaped breaking ball that has big, loopy action. Look for the pitch to sharpen up as velocity increases. Would like to see him in the zone more consistently with the offering. Tossed the changeup in the zone regularly at 63-65 mph.

2/1/17
A very projectable 6-foot-2, 160-pound frame. On the mound the southpaw has a fluid, low effort delivery. Stays tall at balance point and lands in line to home plate. Works through a near over the top arm slot with clean arm action. A strike thrower whose fastball works downhill at 71-73 mph. Displayed feel for both secondary offerings. The better of the two is his changeup. He was able to maintain fastball arm speed on the pitch that showed late fade at 63-66 mph. Spins a big breaking, 2/8 shaped breaking ball at 58-61 mph. A lefty swinger that starts open prior to his controlled stride forward. Stays fluid throughout his swing sequence. Path is downhill and swing is compact. A more level path would let his natural tools show through. Quick bat with solid whip through the zone. A first baseman that uses direct footwork in the infield. Tends to let the ball get deep into his body on plays in his funnel. Actions were more athletic on the move.

Infield Velocity: 70
Exit Velocity: 89
