6/12/18: Big framed 6’5 1B out of Castle. Hits from right side, uses whole frame in swing and ball jumps off his bat. Stride is short to the baseball with good balance throughout. Bat path is short and direct to the baseball and uphill. Showed good gap to gap ability and good rhythm in swing.
 
2/17/18:  6-foot-5, 240 pound first baseman has a physical frame and strong hands in the box.  High contact hitter.  Present gap to gap power with room for more.  Balanced setup, slight hand wrap in load.  Short stride.  Good balance with partial rotation of lower half.  Fast barrel.  High exit velocity of 90mph.  Defensively, above average glove and flat footwork.  Moves well around the bag.  High throwing velocity of 74mph.  
 
9/24/17:  6-foot-5, 240 pound first baseman made his impact with his bat during both game and batting practice.  Loud contact filling both gaps showcased his hitting ability.  Tall, athletic setup in the box with slight bar during load.  Good balance, above average use of lower half.  Fast barrel turn, good pitch selection.  High exit velocity of 94.  Defensively, plays with flat feet, average hands.  Throws topped at 75 across the infield with accuracy.

Spring Scout Blog - 6-foot-4, 225 pound first baseman is ranked #20 in his class also showcased his power potential. Advance barrel awareness in batters box, Multiple barreled up baseballs.  The first being a deep line out to center and the second was a deep single down the LF line. He has semi-quick hands for his size and has a slight uphill swing path. Needs to continue working on his foot speed and agility as he ages. Possesses home run potential and legitimate gap to gap power. 


2/25/17:
Big, strong frame at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds.  Offensively, balanced setup, smooth load back, over rotation with the lower half, average balance throughout the swing.  Above average bat speed, slightly uphill swing plane, gap to gap type power, HR power potential.  Fluid rhythm.  Registered a high exit velocity of 88 mph.  Defensively, throws topped out at 77 mph. Clean exchange, sure handed 1B.  Ran a 7.99 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. 
6/21/16: The 6 foor 4 215 pound first baseman showcased athletic actions with a power presence at the plate.  Has a tall setup with good balance and a short stride.  Bat speed is fast.  Path is level with extension.  Showed gap to gap power in batting practice.  Solid contact throughout.  Defensively, hands are above average with a clean exchange.  Arm strength is average.  Brodey ran a 7.78 60yd dash.
9/27/15:  Brodey showed pop to all fields in game. Ball jumps off bat.  Big bodied kid with athletic actions at the plate.
