4/28/18: Uncommitted. Ranked No. 36 in the Indiana 2018 class, Holycross went the distance for a CG shutout giving up just a hit on 92 pitches. Strong lower half with above average athleticism and pitchability. Compact delivery with a high 3/4 slot and above average arm. Average balance and regular to slight effort. Repeatable delivery. Lands square and athletic. Fastball has late cut action and was commanded on both sides of the plate. Difficult for RHHs throughout the game. Fastball held 83-86 T87 through the first five frames. Breaking ball may have been the better pitch but was not thrown with consistency until the third. 11/5 shape with some sharp/late action. Tight when thrown with near FB arm speed but did slow arm at times causing more gradual action. Some difficulty throwing for strikes but ball stayed down and out to RHHs. Holycross pitches with considerable confidence and pace and showed focus on each hitter. Final Line: 7IP 1H 0R 10K 4BB.

Pitching: Good presence on the bump with physical, 6-foot-1, 190 pound frame, repeatable delivery with strong lower half down the mound. Fastball had life at 86-88, topped at 89, around the zone, more consistent command. Breaking ball has chance to be plus pitch with late downward action, thrown with tight spin at 76-77. Changeup had sinking action for a strike at bottom of zone, firm at 81-83.
