3/30/18 Spring Scout Blog: Athletic, strong framed 6-foot-2, 195 pound lefty debuted his senior season in front of about a dozen scouts on a cold, windy day.  Louisville signee, Carter came out sitting 87-89, touching 90 on two fastballs in the first.  He struck out the side despite a single down the line.  All three strikeouts were on his plus change-up at 80-82.  Features late arm side depth.  Curveball sat 75-78 with 1/7 shape and good spin.  Slider is a potential plus out pitch, sitting 78-81 with late tilt.   With winds blowing straight out to left field, his offense jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first inning against conference foe, Avon.  After a 40 minutes between innings, he sat 86-88 in the second inning.  Struck out two more hitters, allowing one baserunner.  Fastball was back up to 89 in the third, his final inning.  With the game in control, Lohman finished with 3IP 6K 0R in about 45 pitches.
6/20/17 East Coast Pro Showcase: 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic body frame. University of Louisville commit who is currently ranked as the 5th best left-handed pitcher in all of PBR’s viewing states in the ‘18 class. Has a high level of pitchability and can throw three pitches for strikes with his two off-speed pitches being swing and miss type. Arguably had the best three-pitch mix of the day at the event. On the mound he throws with regular effort to his delivery. Lands in a straight line at foot strike, finishing with his momentum carrying in good direction toward home. Throws with quick arm speed through a ¾ slot. HIs fastball sat at 86-87 mph with more 87’s and touched 88 mph. The breaking ball was very good today with sharp, late bite and got a lot of swing and misses with the pitch at 74-75 mph. Also featured a really good changeup thrown with fastball arm speed and had natural fade thrown between 78-80 mph.

2017 Spring Scout Blog:  Lousiville commit.  6-foot-2, 185 pound left-hander got out of an early bases load jam with back to back strikeouts.  Lohman finished with 11Ks in 5.2IP.  Fastball sat 85-87 early, touching 88.  Dropped to 83-85 in middle of game then to 79-81 late.  Covers the whole plate and climbs the ladder with the fastball.  Change-up is a plus out pitch.  Sat 78-81 with late depth, fade.  Slider was inconsistent at times but showed flashes of sharpness at 73-75.  Throws from a high 3/4 slot with clean arm swing.  Fast, loose wrist.  Lands closed at times, firm front leg.  Very athletic on and off the mound.

3/29/17 Game Notes: 6-foot-2, 185 pound ultra-athletic lefty came in for the final two innings of work on Wednesday.  With a 7 pitch first inning, Lohman showed the ability to attack hitter with multiple pitches.  Fastball sat 84-87 with command to the arm side.  Change-up continues to be a plus pitch for him and has late depth at 76-78.  Breaking ball was inconsistent but did show flashes of sharpness at 74-75.  Lohman finished with 2 strikeouts, no walks, no runs.  Louisville commit.

6/25/15: The 6-foot-1 174 pound 2018 LHP showcased a projectable frame and loose arm action.  Carter has a ¾ arm slot with a tilt/topple delivery.  Rhythm is smooth and easy.  Fastball sat 81-83 and commanded well at the knees.  Breaking ball was thrown at 73-76 with late break and slider shape.  Change-up was also commanded at 75-76 with late depth.  High follow for 2018 class.
5/12/15 GAME NOTES: Lohman is a 6-foot-1, 170 pound freshman southpaw ranked No. 40 in PBR's overall 2018 rankings. Last night in his first varsity start he went three innings allowing six hits and four runs while striking out one. Though he struggled a bit in his first varsity start, the freshman showed high projectability with a quick arm.  His fastball was up to 84, sitting mostly 80-82 with some run.  His go to off-speed pitch was his 75-77 mph changeup which has the potential of being a plus pitch.
