Has a slow load; raises his hands during load; wraps hands behind his head. Has a straight to the ball swing plane, a clean swing and a nice, one-handed finish; 83 mph exit velocity. Shows athletic ability behind the plate; has a quick, short arm action and consistent feet; 77 mph position velocity. May need to lengthen his arm action. In IF, moves well laterally; fields the ball well when he gets in good position; has a quick transfers; 3/4 arm action; makes accurate throws; 77 mph position velocity. Recorded a 60 time of 7.07.
7/10/18: 2021 RHP/INF hits from the right side. Closed crouched setup in the box. Uses weight back and drop with hand wrap action as trigger. Swing is short and compact throughout with a whippy high finish. Showed average bat speed and posted an exit velo of 80. Showed line drive ability during BP. In the INF showed soft hands, exchange was long at times. Showed good range. Arm strength is average across the diamond at 79 and showed increase with added strength. On the mound pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Tempo to plate is good with repeatable simple mechanics. Arms stroke is loose and long, explodes from balance point to plate and gets good extension. Finishes in line and in athletic position. FB sat 77-79 with slight cut action at times. CB showed gradual action with 11/5 shape at 61-63. Flashed CH 65-67 for strikes.
