Since we first saw English back in June of 2022, we knew at some point that the 6-foot-8, 205 pound righty had the chance to blossom into something special. English took his first steps toward that projection at TPG, sitting 83-86 mph on a fastball with downhill angle and little-to-no perceived effort. His long, lanky frame creates a tough look on hitters - while his long and uninterrupted arm action, combined with tons of room for added size/strength, suggests that this is not the last velocity jump English will make. He also flashed the ability to flip over a 74-75 mph curveball with depth. Expect this right-hander to continue to rise in the 2025 class.
