2/23/2019: Kyle Lavanchy, SS/2B, North Posey HS, 2021, 5 foot 10, 150 pounds, uses simple load and stride to get to launch position. Creates easy bat speed with good lower half connection, and barrel gets on plane very well. Had a max exit velo of 84 mph, and that will go up as his body matures. Feet and hands work well in the infield, and he threw 79 mph across the infield. He also ran a 7.09 across the infield.
7/24/18: 2021 MIF prospect hits from the right side. Short leg lift and stride to the baseball. Swing is short and compact. Showed line drive ability in BP and in games.Posted an exit velo of 84. Looks to be a single and doubles guy with above average speed. Showed good speed on bases throughout the day. In the field plays on his toes and through the baseball. Fields everything out in front, clean exchange. Arm strength across the diamond was 74.
9/30/17: 5-foot-9, 135 pound shortstop hits from a wide setup with slight crouch and smooth load. Short, simple stride while hands load back. Level path to contact, average bat speed. High exit velocity of 76mph. Fields with above average hands and clean, long exchange. Plays through the baseball. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm swing. Top velocity across the infield was 75. Ran a 7.4 60 yard dash.
