3/28/18 Spring Scout Blog: 5-foot-11, 195 pound senior finished his junior season as one of the hottest bats in the state.  He helped lead Zionsville to a semi-state run.  His first at bat of his senior campaign was an opposite field home run.  He finished the day 4-4 with 5RBI.  Balanced, simple setup and swing.  Quick barrel turn.  Quiet movements.  Stays on plane.  Created consistent hard contact in different counts.  East Tennessee State signee.

6/13/17:  5-foot-11, 195 pound catcher has a simple setup with short stride and smooth load.  Creates hard contact from a compact swing with some lift.  Consistently finds the barrel.  Produced line drives all across the field.  High exit velocity of 88mph.  Behind the plate, footwork is quick with smooth transfer.  Quick release into throws topping at 82mph.  Pop times ranged between 1.9-2.01.  Richardson ran a 7.31 60 yard dash.

5/19/17:  GAME NOTES - Richardson continued to swing a hot bat by driving his 21st extra base hit of the season on an opposite field double on an away fastball.  Barrel stays in the zone with good extension post-contact.  Simple load and setup, fast bat speed.  Pop to all fields.  He has a quick transfer and release behind the plate.  Footwork is fluid, gets squared.  Low front side.  Arm action is short.  Pop times ranged between 1.94-2.02 between innings.

2/19/17: 5-foot-11, 185 pounder.  Offensively, simple approach.  Balanced setup, loads back, short stride.  Average use of the lower half.  Maintains balance.  Above average bat speed, gets to extension, short/level swing plane, line drive type hitter with gap to gap power potential.  Fluid rhythm in the swing.  Registered a high exit velocity of 88 mph.  Ran a 7.21 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. Behind the plate lacks flexibility, stiff hands while receiving, needs to become more mobile. At a previous PBR event showcased a strong arm at 79 mph with pop times between 1.90-2.02. 

9/18/16:The 5-foot-10, 185 pound receiver showcased a strong arm behind the dish with carry at 79 mph. Transfer is quick and clean, with a short, quick arm action.  Displayed quick footwork with good direction, but can get long at times.  While receiving showcases a comfortable setup with good balance.  Hands are quiet and soft.  Produced a top pop time of 1.90, mainly in the 2.01-2.02 range. At the plate hits from a tall, athletic setup, slight load back.  Stride is short with average use of his lower half.  Good balance.  Above average bat speed.  Fluid rhythm, line drive type hitter. High exit velocity of 82. Also ran a 7.19-60.  

6/9/15: 5-foot-8, 170 pound receiver showed the ability to block and receive well.  Possesses soft hands and an athletic setup.  Pop times were 2.04-2.10 with a quick transfer and good footwork.  Stays in line well.  Throws were on target at 72 mph.  Overall quick actions defensively.  At the plate hits out of an open setup and loads back.  Stride is short with good use of the lower half.  Possesses good bat speed for a 2018.  Level path and gets to extension.  Line drive type hitter.  Recorded an exit velo of 80 mph.
