Kyle Sams: RHP/1B, (2024) Union county, IN. 6-foot-5, 205-pound. (64.4 mph bat speed average). (18.2 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, used a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 84 mph; shows sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.46. On the mound, used a loose long arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing consistent arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 2108; Avg 1965). His 10/4 slider shows late tight action. (Max spin 2335; Avg 2325).
