5/1/18:Uncommitted 2019 two-way prospect hit some new numbers on the bump in CG loss to a conference and county rival. Ranked No. 80 in the 2019 class, the strong-bodied righty was up to 87 with a slight sink fastball thrown down in the zone. Pitch comes out of a 3/4 slot that drops to low 3/4 during at bats. Average arm speed and balance with regular effort. Varies rhythm with a repeatable delivery. Lands square and in line and falls off first base side after the pitch. Fastball did elevate at times and was hit when flat. Held 83-86 in all seven innings. 11/5 CB was 66-69 with gradual break. Arm slows. Changeup with near FB arm speed with slight fade and down at 73-77. Was able to throw all pitches for strikes. 76 of 101. At the plate starts balanced. Hands back in the load with minimal stride and average balance through the swing. Will collapse at times. Decent bat speed with a good approach that gets to extension. Present pull side gap power. 4.58 and 4.53 down the line.

2/18/18:  6-foot, 185 pound pitcher sat 83-84, touching 85 with the fastball.  Creates some downhill plane with arm side run.  Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with some late depth.  Change-up has fade, sink at 75-77.  Short arm swing, good tempo down the mound.  Lower half needs refined.  Lands short, stiff.  Rotates around front leg.  Strike thrower.  In the box, he has a balanced setup with short stride.  Long, level plane.  Quick barrel turn.  Fair balance.  High exit velocity of 88.  Soft hands defensively.  Fluid footwork.  High hips.  Throws topped 83 across the infield.

6/21/16: The 6 foot 180 pound infielder showcased soft hands and a long arm action.  Footwork is heavy but plays thru the ball well.  Throws topped at 78 across the infield.  Offensively, Luke has a balanced setup and slight back load.  Tendency to fall across plate after contact.  Bat speed is above average for his age.  Produced an exit velocity of 84.  On the mound, fastball sat 78-80 touching 81.  Commands both sides of the plate at the knees well with slight run.  Breaking ball sat 63-65 with gradual break in 11/5 shape.  Has a short stride and average usage of lower half.  Has above average arm speed on the mound.

9/20/15: 5-foot-11, 170 pounds pitches from a high ¾ slot with above average arm speed.  Long arm action.  Shows some rhythm with regular effort in the delivery.  Level shoulders, falls off towards 3B.  Fastball has some run at 75-77.  Breaking ball shows an 11/5 shape with gradual break at 60-62.  Changeup sat 63-66.
