SCOUT BLOG:  The Indiana commit sat 82-84 with the fastball, touching an 85 on the outer half of the plate.The senior lefty has a strong frame and delivers the baseball with high 3/4 arm slot. Arm has a clean swing out of the glove and gets good direction down the mound. Creates some deception with big front side up and down the mound, fastball jumps on hitter. Owned the outer half of the plate to righties with a good fastball for seven innings. Plus off-speed pitches with a breaking ball at 70-72mph and the changeup at 74mph. Has command of all three pitches and will throw in any count. Lot of swing and misses over the sharp breaking ball bite. Pulls the string on the changeup to right handers with downward tumbling action. Works with good rhythm and tempo, good pickoff move. High pitch IQ.

5/30/15: The 6-foot-2, 180 pound southpaw and Indiana commit was impressive in his three innings of work.  His fastball consistently sat 85-87, touching 88 on multiple occasions.  He possesses a good breaking ball at 76-79 with sharp break and thrown for a strike.  Threw a couple of changeup's around 80 with some sink. Over the head pump delivery, slight pause at the top of his leg kick, 3/4 arm slot. Shows a good line to the plate, landing square. Good arm speed.  

June 2014: Eaton is a projectable lefty with good frame.  Fastball sits low 80's.  Will continue to add velocity as his frame fills out.  High follow in 2017 class.
