3/27/17 Game Notes: 6-foot-4, 215 pound Ball State signee continues to impress at the plate.  In his second at bat, Wintner hit an opposite field missile for a 3-run homerun.  He also showed patience with 2 walks on the night.  Wintner has a wide, athletic setup with a high back elbow.  Small leg kick used as a trigger in his load.  Bat path is long, slightly uphill.  Fast bat speed.  Has consistently shown gap-to-gap power. 

5/21/16 Game Notes: Uncommitted 2017 went 5-6 with 5RBI, 4R, and three doubles Saturday in wins against South Dearborn and Chesterton. 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds with a big, strong frame. At the plate starts wide with minimal stride. Will take outside pitches the other way with above average bat speed. Got out front, but was able to keep hands back.

2/22/15: 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, big physical frame.  Clean exchange at 1B.  Fields it deep, flat feet.  Long arm action across the field at 82 with average carry.  Offensively, starts slightly open.  Minimal stride.  Smooth load.  Above average bat speed, gets to extension.  Gets long at times.  Hard contact.  Recorded a high exit velo of 88 mph.  

7/29/14: 6 foot 3 inches, 180 pounds, R/R, 7.64/60, Big, athletic and lanky. Hits to all fields from a balanced stance with a short stride and a slight upper cut.  Throws from high ¾ arm slot, 74 mph from 3b with average carry and on target.
