2017 Spring Scout Blog:  The 6-foot-2, 190 pound unsigned senior held 86-88mph with the fastball in his first start of the spring.  Right-hander has slightly closed, uphill shoulders with firm gloveside.  Hips open late, squared slightly on the third base side of the rubber.  Arm is quick with 3/4 slot.  Endurance to hold velocity on his first start was impressive.   Breaking ball has hard with late, lateral break and some depth.  With 10/4 shape, the curveball sat 76-79 throughout.  Erratic command at times, missing glove side or down, Youngcourt will need to get more consistent as he gets later into spring.  Last seen in September topping 83mph, his velocity jump and hard breaking ball will make Youngcourt one of the top unsigned seniors. 

9/11/16:  The 6 foot 2 190 pound uncommitted senior showcased an athletic delivery with smooth rhythm.  Slider had late break with 10/4 shape while sitting 75-78.  Fastball sat 80-83 with command to both sides of the plate.  Change-up has slight fade and is thrown for a strike.  

3/30/15 GAME NOTES: Young pitcher with a projectable body. Sat 81-83 with a sharp at times breaking ball at 71-73. Fastball action not yet developed, but good downward plain. Shoulders stay level and lands closed from the stretch. In an inning of work had some control concerns.
