2/2/14: Beck recently committed to Purdue University. Beck is a 6-foot-1 185 pound, wide shouldered righty. Beck is fairly effortless in all actions and tops out at 86. Beck shows an advanced ability to pitch. All three pitches are on the verge of being good college pitches. Beck threw a late sweeping slider at 77mph that will consistently get hitters out. He also showcased a slighty above average change up with run topping out at 79mph. 

6/4/13:
6-foot, 165 pound senior possesses a good frame.  Continues to add strength.  Above average feet defensively.  Topped out at 80 across the diamond.  At the plate starts, tall and narrow and open. Uses a leg kick.  Lower half lacks involvement.  Exit velo was 91 mph.  Projects to hit for power and high average.  On the mound works closed with a low leg kick.  Throws from a high 3/4 across his body.  Flashed a breaking ball with a late sharp action.  Arm speed is quick. Up to 87 mph during the HS season. 

2/4/12: Beck is a 6-foot, 180 pound sophomore with a good build.  In the field he displayed good hands and footwork. Across the diamond he was 75 mph.  At the plate he shows a wide base that is slightly open.  His swing plane is slightly up hill and shows good hands.  When getting to extension he shows some pop to the left side.
