2/21/16 - Hansen is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2017 class from Olathe North HS.  He ran a 4.28 home to first and has an exit velo of 82 mph. At the plate, open stance, controlled leg lift and inline stride, middle to pull line drives during batting practice.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, long arm circle, footwork creates momentum to throw, fluid catch and throw, plays through the ball, tall and lean frame able to add strength as he develops.
Alex is a 5'10" 145 lb left hand hitting middle infielder from Olathe Northwest high School. During his workout Alex shows good feet, stays balanced and athletic and is able to move left and right equally quick. His hands work in sync with his lower body is showing improvement, make good accurate throws with a top positional velo of 73 mph. Starts with a slightly open stance, a big leg kick and long stride, good hands through the zone keeping his barrel on plane, with a exit velo of 80 mph.In game action barreled up a line drive and single with a stolen base.
