2/16/19 – Wisner is a strong bodied 6-foot, 180-pound catcher and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class. He ran a 7.76 60 and posted an exit velocity of 78 mph at the event. During hitting evaluations, starts in an athletic stance, quiet load, some rhythm with hands, slightly across body with stride, level bat path, showed some pull pop with a good round of batting practice. Behind the plate, crouched set up, fluid footwork, clean transfers, over the top arm slot, positional velo of 71 mph with some carry, mostly accurate throws, pop times between 2.06 and 2.18 seconds. On the mound, Wisner works solely in the stretch, starts with a pre-loaded lower half, strides across his body down the mound, over the top release, clean arm action, some effort with delivery. Fastball is 78-80 mph, tops at 81 mph, thrown for a high percentage of strikes, curveball is 64-67 mph, 11-to-5 shape, sharp at times, has a chance to be a plus pitch, changeup is 70 mph, near fastball arm speed, some arm side run.
