1/18/16 - Mitchell is a 6-foot-1 180-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He had an exit velo of 88 mph and ran a 4.47 home-to-first.  At the plate, starts in wide/athletic stance, no stride, loads in back leg, quick hands, short to contact, level though zone, gap-to-gap approach, solid consistent contact. In the outfield, high three quarters release, soft hands, quick catch and throw, accurate throws, momentum through the catch, 80 mph positional velo, one of the best for the event. On the mound, Mitchell throws with regular effort, controlled delivery, long arm circle, over the top release, athletic finish, high percentage to strikes, fastball clocked at 74-78 mph, one of the top LHP fastball velos of the event, slight run, downhill plane, curveball has 1-to-7 shape, 66-69 mph, change-up 68-71 mph.

10/19/14 - Mitchell is an athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound left-hand hitting outfielder. Balanced set-up at the plate, open stance, strides in line, smooth hand load, short bat path, short finish, line drive approach, worked middle of the field during batting practice, 79 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash and 4.46 home-to-first. During pre-game outfield drills showed quick feet, high three-quarters arm action, arm works, 76 mph throwing velocity. Athletic left-left outfielder to follow in the 2018 class.  On the mound has a eliberate delivery early, tucks knee at balance, hides ball, easy three-quarters arm action, athletic finish. Fastball with sink, occasional cutting action, 70-71 mph. Slurve type of breaking ball with proper shape, 60-62 mph. Induced three ground balls, one strikeout while facing five batters in game action.
