Rein is a lean 6-foot-2 170-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 7.16 60, a 4.52 home to first and has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall and balanced set up, no wasted movement in load, short in line stride, level bat plane, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, over the top arm slot, long arm circle, clean transfer with fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws, 75 mph positional velocity.

1/27/18 - Rein is a lean 6-foot-2 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.22 60 and has an 81 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts wide and slightly open in base, minimal hand movement in load, loads weight against back side, short stride, level bat path with gap to gap line drives during hitting evaluations.  In the outfield, 78 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, clean exchange, aggressive to the ball, plays through the catch, quick release after catch. On the mound, Rein has a slender build with long limbs, throws with some effort from an over the top arm slot, fastball at 73-76 mph, curveball at 57-61 mph, 12-to-6 action, change up at 63-65 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, slight sinking action.
