10/19/13 - We had a chance to see the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Burdette pitch earlier this fall in Council Bluffs, Iowa, as he carved up the Bases Loaded Academy Spiders from Iowa. This past Saturday, the left-handed pitcher wasn’t as sharp in his two innings of work.  He features an over the top delivery, short arm action and good balance.  He worked 77-79 mph with his fastball with occasional arm-side run.  His breaking ball ranged from 63-69 mph.

10/19/13 - Burdette is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound LHP/1B that throws left and bats right.  Hitting he has a balanced set-up and no stride.  He has a slight up-hill swing and is a gap-to-gap type of hitter.  His exit velocity was timed at 84 mph.  At 1B, Burdette has good footwork around the back, average hands and a quick exchange.  His best throwing velocity was 74 mph and home to 1B time was 4.73.

8/17/13 Council Bluffs, IA - Struck out 6 in 3 innings work, FB 77-80 (82 tops), CB 63-65, CH 72-73.  Simple, rhythmic delivery, arm works, strike machine.  Also a RHH 1B.
