1/18/15 - Watt is an athletic 5-foot-10 170-pound left-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Ran a 4.59 home-to-first with an 83 mph exit velo, one of the top among LHH, smooth load, controlled leg lift to stride, accelerated hands, level to extension, gap-to-gap approach, hands work inside of ball.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.06 and 2.40, 71 mph positional velo, short over the top release, hands and feet work together, back side through throw, quick catch and release, throws to the bag at second. Improvements in several areas since last event.
11/1/15 - Watt is a 5-foot-10 170-pound left-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Watt ran a 7.63 60 and got down the line in 4.46-seconds.  Offensively, had an 81 mph exit velo, had a good round of batting practice, consistent line drive to middle of field, thin stance, long stride, level path to extension, quick bat speed.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.19 and 2.35, 70 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick footwork, quick exchange, accurate throws with carry to the bag.
6/2/15 - Jonah is a 5'10 170-pound left hand hitting catcher and outfielder from Shawnee Mission East. In the outfield reads the ball well and attacks making clean accurate throws with short quick arm action with a top positional velo of 74 mph. Behind the plate, is strong for a class of 2018, quick and clean exchanges and mostly accurate throws on or near the bag with pop times of 2.15 to 2.31 and a catcher positional velo of 70 mph. Balanced and athletic in the box. Fluid level swing plane that makes good solid contact in BP with a 82 exit velo and a double in game action.

1/19/15 - Watt is a thin, athletic-framed 5-foot-10, 150-pound left-hand hitting catcher that attends Shawnee Mission East HS in Prairie Village, KS. Class of 2018. Athletic set-up at the plate, strides inline, minimal hand load, short path to the ball, finishes with extension, bat speed, maintains balance throughout. Line drive, middle approach. Simple, repeatable swing with rhythm and flow. Squared the ball up in batting practice. Exit velocity clocked at 80 mph, ran a 4.57 home-to-first. During catching drills showed quick feet, clean exchanges, short over-the-top throwing motion. Clean, loose arm, 2.15-2.32 pop times, 66 mph throwing velocity.
