5/31/16 - Martinez is a 6-foot-1 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 6.91 60, one of the top for the event, and a 4.56 home to first.  He has an 84 mph exit velo.  At the plate, athletic set up with no wasted moves in load, short stride, showed some power to pull side, quick hands.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.02 and 2.24, one of the top pop times for the event, quick catch and throw, hands and feet work together, positional velo of 76 mph, one of top velos for the event,  accurate and strong throws to second.
