11/3/13 - The 6-foot, 164-pound Mason is a right-hand hitting second baseman/outfielder.  He hits from a tall stance with no load and average balance throughout.  His bat path works inside out, which produced a lot of contact to the opposite field during batting practice. His top exit velocity was 69 mph. In the outfield he showed average feet and hands.  His top outfield throwing velocity was clocked at 71 mph, infield velocity  registered 69 mph.  He ran a 7.68 60-yard dash.

11/3/13 - The 6-foot, 165-pound Mason throws from a high ¾ slot producing consistent arm side run on his fastball.  He has a simple delivery from the wind-up and pitches from a near slide step from the stretch.  Mason keeps his shoulders level early in his delivery and strides inline with the plate. He has clean arm action.  His fastball was 68-73 mph.  He also throws a 63-64 mph curve ball and 65-67 change-up.
