2/16/18 - Stang is an athletically built 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 4.50 home to first and has an 87 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, calm load, accelerates to contact, loose hands with aggressive swing, level path, stays through the ball after contact, body stays under control, gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, short over the top release, fluid footwork to the ball and through the catch, gains ground with feet to throw, soft hands, clean exchanges, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Stang has a quick tempo, short leg lift, over the top releasee, level shoulders with in line stride, fastball worked mostly 75-76 mph, breaking ball had 12-to-6 shape, flashed late break with some depth, change up at 63-65 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, lean and athletic build.
10/22/17 - Stang is a 6-foot 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, right-handed pitcher, and first baseman in Kansas 2020 class.  He ran a 7.56 60 and a 5.10 home to first.  He has an 88 mph exit velocity. At the plate, tall stance, slightly open, long in line stride, leverage from back side, smooth and repeatable load, swing produced mostly middle to pull side contact.  In the outfield, 74 mph positional velocity, over the top release, momentum after the catch, fluid actions to the ball, clean transfer with fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 74 mph across the diamond, 72 mph positional velocity at first base, over the top release, fields ball in athletic position, soft hands, clean exchange, works through the ball, most accurate throws. On the mound, Stang comes from a high three quarters arm slot, athletic build, occasional downhill plane, in line stride, throws with regular effort, short arm circle, fastball at 70-74 mph, high number of strikes, curveball at 58-65 mph, gradual 12-to-6 shape on breaking ball, showed feel.
