At the plate, simple and repeatable swing, starts thin and slightly open, short stride, no wasted movement, body stays under control, swing produced gap to gap contact during hitting evals.  On the infield, 73 mph positional velocity, short over the top release, fluid footwork to the ball, works through the catch, solid fundamentals with clean exchanges, active feet, soft hands On the mound, Escamilia has a compact drop and drive type delivery, over the top arm slot, keep hands high with controlled leg lift, in line stride with shoulders remaining level, fastball worked at 78-81 mph, breaking ball had 11-to-5 action, some late and down in the zone, had feel for a change up at 66-70 mph, works down the zone, throws with near fastball arm speed, late sink.
