8/1/14 - Planck established himself as one of the top 2016 arms in the PBR coverage area at the Future Games for Team Kentucky. His fastball routinely sat 88-90 mph and touched 91 on a few occasions, and his 79-81 mph slider is a swing-and-miss pitch that is well-advanced for his age. Planck committed to Louisville following the event.
7/23/14 - 6-foot-3, 195 pound prospect has become one of the top right-handers in the PBR coverage area in the 2016 class. Arm is quick and loose and works through a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 87-89 mph touching 90. Has a power type slider at 78-81 mph that is well advanced for a high school pitcher and has the potential to be a legitimate swing-and-miss type pitch at the next level, good arm action on 79-82 mph changeup, has committed to Louisville since the conclusion of the event.
2/16/14 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect with strong and athletic frame that really projects, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, good rhyhtm and tempo in delivery, arm is quick, showed an increase in velocity from the fall, fastball sat 84-85 mph touching 86 with some arm-side run, curveball shows late and sharp 11/5 action at 70-73 mph, throws changeup with fastball arm speed and good arm action at 76-77 mph with good run and sink. Planck’s arm works as well as any in KY’s 2016 class, and there is no doubt he will be a sought after 2016 prospect.
9/7/13 - The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Planck established himself as a definite arm to watch in the 2016 class.He is long and loose, and his fastball sat 82-84 mph.He showed a very good breaking ball with sharp 11/5 action at 72-74 mph.Planck showed good bat speed at the plate (87 mph tee exit velocity) while collecting two singles in game action, ran a 7.50 60.
