6-foot-3, 170 pound highly projectable LHP. Louisville commit. Pounds the zone with a fastball that sits 83-86 T87 which represents an expected velocity increase. 66-69 mph big breaking curveball with good depth. Though the curveball is on the softer side, it produces good spin rates (2300-2400 RPM) indicating good hand speed and additional velocity likely to come. Hides the ball well which allows his current velocity to play up. Command of FB/CB is extremely advanced for his age. It's easy to dream on West's frame and the velocity increase that is to come. Combine that with his pitchability and it's easy to see why he committed to Louisville early in his high school career.
