2/14/15 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect has proven to be the top catcher in Kentucky’s 2017 class. Right-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, short swing path with good extension through contact, shows projectable gap to gap power, showed good speed for the catcher position with 7.00 60-yard dash, 81 mph exit velocity. Defensively, shows a strong and balanced set up behind the plate, advanced receiver with soft glove hand and good feel for keeping pitches in the zone, solid blocking ability, very good arm strength at 80 mph from the crouch, consistent throws to the bag with 1.95-1.97 pop times, also participated as an outfielder and plays through the ball with 82 mph arm strength, goo d combination of offensive and defensive ability, high-level prospect.
7/23/14 - 6-foot, 170-pound prospect, athletic build, ran a 7.32 60-yard dash, 81 mph tee exit velocity. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride, short path to the ball, line drive type hitter with gap-to-gap approach, went 3-for-3 in game play with singles to center, right, and right-center.  Defensively showed well above average arm strength for age, 78 mph from the crouch, short high ¾ release, 2.00-2.08 pop times, accurate throws to the bag, solid defensive catcher, high follow in 2017 class.
1/19/14 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect with lanky build, improved footwork will lead to better balance throwing the baseball, shows solid receiving skills, boxes and frames well, good blocking skills, good arm strength for young prospect at 74 mph from the crouch, pop times ranged from 2.07-2.15 and will improve with more consistent footwork.  At the plate, hits from a slightly open stance, squares front side with a short stride, short path to the ball with some hand quickness, cuts off lower half at times with a lack of extension and finish, good balance throughout swing, ran 4.75 down the first base line, 74 mph tee exit velocity, definite prospect to follow in the 2017 class.
