2/13/16 A 6-foot, 180-pound left-hander with average, lean frame that projects well and shows athletic actions. Short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with lightning arm speed and easy effort. Choppy rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 84-87 mph with late cut and control. Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape and sharp break on occasion at 75-76 mph. Also showed changeup with fastball arm speed at 81 mph. Excellent athlete, committed to Louisiana State, projects very well.

7/30/15 LHP Blair Frederick (LA) pitched three innings for the Mets, sitting 87-89 and touching 90. He has some funk to his arm action, but it’s quick and loose through a 3/4 slot. His curveball has lateral break at 74-77.

A 2016 LHP/OF from Brother Martin HS, Fredrick has 6-foot-0 180 pound extremely athletic frame.  He has a simple repeatable delivery with a clean, loose arm action.  He sits 86-89 and will touch 90.  He mixes in a swing and miss slider at 77-80 with good hard tight spin and quality depth out of the same arm slot as FB.
