Fall '18 - Committed to West Virginia out of Seminole

Transferred to Seminole State College of Florida

2016 Pre-Season First Team All-State

2/17/16 A 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 88-93 mph with sink and solid angle. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape with fastball arm speed and sharp break at 75-78 mph. Struck out 5 in 2 innings of work.

11/7/15 A 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with lightning quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 89-92 mph with heavy sink. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape with near fastball arm speed, early break and occasional tight spin at 75-77 mpj. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 76-78 mph.

6-6-15 A 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-hander with a lean, athletic frame. Showed a quick arm out of a high-3/4 slot with an athletic, developing delivery with occasional pauses, and deficiencies. Fastball sat 86-89 mph with occasional life at end. Flashed a solid breaking ball with 10/4 shape, tight spin, and depth at 76-77 mph. Also showed advanced feel for change up with fastball arm speed, and late deception.

9/22/18 - One of the biggest winners of the weekend. The Louisiana-Lafayette transfer has some present strength, especially in the lower half, in his 6-foot-3, 220 pound frame. Working from the stretch only, he has a very simple delivery. The arm action is very compact, clean, and quick. He worked with low effort and the fastball worked an easy 94-95 mph with riding life through the zone. Erbe also showed a feel for a curveball at 77-78 mph that had tight spin and depth through the zone, proving to be a swing and miss pitch. Overall, there was a lot to like and easily one of the top arms in the state if he can continue to build off of what he showed on Saturday.
