2021 MLB Draft: Marceaux, who stands at 6 feet, 175 pounds, is a well-rounded pitcher who has been a strong performer since his high school days. He commands his fastball to both sides of the plate, sitting 91-93 and touching 94 with life and plus control. He also commands a plus-plus changeup. He has spun a 12/6 curveball in the past, but it has recently transformed into more of a slurvy offering with some sharp break and is nasty at times in the low to mid 80s.
11/10/19
Six-foot, 190-pound average frame. Rhythmic, repeatable delivery, hides the ball well, medium arm action into an over-the-top arm slot. Featured a 2-seam and 4-seam to both sides of the plate pitching at 89-91 with above average command. Also flashed an 82-83 mph slider with quality depth - has the makings or an above average pitch. (Sofio)
6/28/17
While Marceaux doesn’t flash premium velocity, he very well may be the most polished right-hander in the 2018 class. His fastball command is highly advanced, as he spots his fastball to both sides of the plate, seemingly playing a leisurely game of catch at 90-91. When Marceaux wanted a little more, he ticked up to 92 and touched 93 once. His fastball also has late arm-side life through the zone. Beyond his fastball command, he has an advanced 77-78 mph curveball with 12/6 shape and depth, though he didn’t show it much in the outing. He also wrinkles in an 83-84 changeup with fastball arm action out of the same window. He’s extremely relaxed and composed on the mound, and repeats his athletic delivery and throws a high-volume of strikes with three pitches (71 percent strikes). The Louisiana State recruit threw three scoreless to open the game, but finished with four hits allowed, two earned runs and four strikeouts and no walks.
