Athletic and twitchy 5’6” 150 lbs. frame. We’ve seen Keller quite a bit since over the fall and into the early part of 2021 and he’s continued to make strides each time we see him. RHH Starts in a tall, slightly open stance with the bat laying on his back shoulder. Simple load and stride, bringing his bat head upright before landing with his front foot. Took one of the better BP rounds of the day by delivering the bat head straight to the ball with good extension, consistently squaring up balls to the middle of the field. Max exit velocity of 83 mph. High IQ on the dirt. Athletic actions with active feet playing through everything. Loose arm action releasing the ball from a high ¾ arm slot that produced a personal best of 81 mph across the infield, a +3 mph jump from November’s All-State Games. On the mound, begins on the left side of the rubber and stays there throughout his windup. Quick delivery, pounded the baseball down in the zone with his full arsenal. FB was up to 77 mph, sitting 74-76 mph. His 67-70 mph CB had tight spin, staying down in the zone and looked to be a “get me over” pitch. 67-69 mph SL started at the top of hitter’s knees and broke down in the zone. Developing CH at 68-70 mph. Posted a 7.76 in the 60.
Compact 5-foot-5, 140-pound frame with room to fill out. Right-handed hitter hits from a balanced, upright stance, loads with small leg lift, short stride and balanced throughout. Line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm, short path and quick hands that produced an exit velocity of 77 mph. On infield worked into athletic fielding position with easy actions and smooth footwork. Clean exchange and medium arm swing into high-3/4 release producing an infield velocity of 77 mph. Posted a 7.72 60-yard dash.
Right-handed pitcher with an athletic delivery, fluid rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Medium arm action into high-3/4 release with easy effort and solid arm speed. Pitched 74-76 mph with his fastball showing occasional arm-side run, and ability to pitch to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball showed solid spin with depth and gradual break at 60-62 mph.
