2016 Pre-Season First Team All-State

11/7/15 A 6-foot-2, 215-pound infielder with a large, physical, strong frame. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick and clean exchange, playing through balls well. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 84 mph. Switch hitter that hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, leg kick, explosive lower half and solid balance. Gap to gap, power hitter with fluid rhythm, level path and strength at contact that produced an exit velocity of 95 mph. Also posted a 7.26 60 yard dash.

9/7/15 A 6-foot-2, 215-pound infielder with a large, physical, strong frame. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick and clean exchange, playing through balls well. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws. Switch hitter that hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, leg kick, explosive lower half and solid balance. Gap to gap, power hitter with fluid rhythm, short path and strength at contact that produced an exit velocity of 92 mph.

A 6-foot-2, 200-pound infielder and University of Texas commit with a large, strong frame. Displays soft hands with quality arm strength from second base, but most likely projects to a corner infield position at the next level. A switch-hitter with raw bat speed, big strength, and big power potential from both sides. A very advanced hitter with solid bat path and raw tools to be a potential premium bat.

3/10/19:Switch hitting, strong bodied infielder at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. Reynolds lost nearly 25 pounds this offseason and is moving much better this spring. He's a near average runner underway with average range at the hot corner, making all the plays he gets to and moving better to his gloveside than in the past. His arm showed above average-to-plus. As a right-handed hitter he slides his hips and pushes his barrel into the zone instead of rotating the barrel through it, which leads to his barrel being in and out of the zone quickly. From the left side he shows better balance than the right, but it's the same swing. He's punching at the ball instead of rotating the barrel through the zone and does not stay on-plane with the pitch...again in/out of the zone. His performance in the batter's box will ultimately determine his draft value this June, but he also has the arm strength and bloodlines to convert to the mound in the future. This is where his father (Shane) enjoyed a successful 13 year ML career with 114 wins and one All-Star game appearance while a member of the Houston Astros. (Seifert)
